Ally Dick joined Spurs as an apprentice and played in 17 league matches and scored two goals between 1981 and 1986. Johan Cruyff signed Dick for Ajax Amsterdam in 1986. Dick was badly injured in a UEFA Cup Winners Cup match against Olympiacos when playing in the Netherlands.
